Abbott Fire Protection believe that experience is a key competence for any trainer, that is why all of our instructors are industry professionals with the relevant experience. 

Our Courses

Fire Marshall Training 

Our half-day fire marshal course covers the role of the designated Fire Marshal (fire warden). Delegates will the about fire prevention and the different types of fire extinguishers, receiving instructions on how to use them correctly.

 

This course can also be tied in with our practical extinguisher training course. 

 

Who should attend?

 

There are no pre-requisites for the course but it is ideally suitable for;

 

  • Designated Fire Wardens.

  • Those with Fire Safety Responsibilities.

  • Those who need to know how to correctly operate a fire extinguisher.

 

Assessment & Certification

 

Throughout the duration of the course, delegates will be continuously observed by the instructor and will receive a certificate lasting three years as well as a complimentary fire warden hi-vis vest.

 
 

Fire Extinguisher Training 

Our half-day practical fire extinguisher course will give delegates the confidence to operate a fire extinguisher correctly through a theory and a "hands-on" experience.  

 

This course can also be tied in with our Fire Marshall Training.

 

Who should attend?

 

There a no pre-requisites for the course but it is ideally suitable for;

 

  • Designated Fire Wardens.

  • Those with Fire Safety Responsibilities.

  • Those who need to know how to correctly operate a fire extinguisher.

 

Course Content

 

  • Chemistry of fire.

  • Common causes of fire.

  • The Regulatory Reform Order.

  • Fire and Smoke Spread.

  • Action once you discover a fire.

  • Fire extinguisher theory.

  • Fire extinguisher practical.

 

Assessment & Certification

 

Throughout the duration of the course, delegates will be continuously observed by the instructor and will receive a certificate lasting three years.

 

First Aid Training 

Our one-day Emergency First Aid course is designed for people who require training in Emergency First Aid and is ideal for first aiders working in smaller, lower risk environments. 

 

Who should attend?

 

Candidates will need a basic understanding of English (level 2).

 

  • Those designated as a workplace first aider in lower risk environments. 

  • Those who would like a basic understanding of emergency first aid.

 

Course Content

 

  • Role of the first aider.

  • Emergency management.

  • Casualty care and communication.

  • Management of bleeding.

  • Burns.

  • Choking.

  • First aid regulations.

  • CPR & Automated Defibrillation.

  • Managing Seizures.

  • Managing Shock.

  • Management of an unresponsive patient.

 

Assessment & Certification

 

Successful candidates will receive a certificate which is valid for three years, as well as a complimentary CPR face shield.
