The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 places the responsibility for fire safety on the employer as the "Responsible Person," from which they must ensure the a Fire Risk Assessment is undertaken. Although this can be undertaken in house, The Order states it should be undertaken by a competent person, provision is therefore made for a suitably qualified third party to complete a Fire Risk Assessment, such as Abbott Fire.


Working with our industry partners, Abbott Fire have a team of Health and Safety Consultants on hand to assist your business with risk assessments and policies.


It is the responsibilty of the building owner to ensure that their Dry Riser systems remain in working order. Our tests ensure that your Dry Riser system will perform correctly by simulating the system stresses and continuing its operability should the Fire and Rescue Service be required to use it.


Our BAFE Qualified engineers can carry out the Installation, and commissioning of your fire extinguishers, as well as the yearly maintenance and the five yearly extended service checks, within the accordance of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.


The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, places an obligation that the occupiers of a building must carry out regular testing of the emergency lighting system. Emergency Lighting is important as it helps occupants find their way to safety in the event of a mains power failure. Abbott Fire are able to arrange maintenance and inspection of your system, as well as the initial installation.
